These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of skip hire, waste collection, and related services by O'neill Skip Hire. By requesting a quote, making a booking, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
These terms apply to all customers using our waste collection service area, including private individuals, landlords, tradespeople, and commercial clients. Please read this document carefully before booking a service.
O'neill Skip Hire provides professional waste management services, including skip hire, house clearances, office clearances, builders waste removal, garden waste collection, bulky item removal, and same-day rubbish removal.
All services are subject to availability, access conditions, and compliance with applicable waste regulations. We reserve the right to refuse or suspend services where waste cannot be lawfully or safely handled.
A booking is made once a quote has been accepted and confirmation has been issued by O'neill Skip Hire. Bookings may be arranged following a written or verbal quotation.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete information about the type, quantity, and location of waste. Quotes are based on the information provided and may be revised if the actual waste differs materially from the description.
We reserve the right to amend or withdraw a quote if undisclosed waste types, access restrictions, or additional risks are identified on delivery or collection.
All prices are quoted based on the agreed scope of work at the time of booking. Pricing may be calculated using skip size, load-based pricing, cubic-yard rates, or other appropriate methods depending on the service.
Quotes are provided in good faith and reflect expected costs for delivery, collection, labour, transport, and disposal. Unless otherwise stated, quotes may be subject to change if service conditions vary.
Additional charges may apply if the scope of work changes, including excess weight, prohibited waste, extended hire periods, or restricted access.
Payment terms will be confirmed at the time of booking. Payment may be required in advance, upon delivery, upon collection, or in line with agreed account terms for commercial customers.
Accepted payment methods may include card payments, online payments, or bank transfer. All payments must be made in full within the agreed timeframe.
Failure to make payment when due may result in service suspension, additional charges, or recovery action.
Customers may cancel or reschedule a booking by providing reasonable notice. Cancellation terms may vary depending on the service type and notice period given.
Where insufficient notice is provided, a cancellation or abortive visit fee may apply to cover costs already incurred, including vehicle allocation and staff scheduling.
O'neill Skip Hire reserves the right to cancel or reschedule services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including adverse weather, vehicle breakdown, access restrictions, or safety concerns. In such cases, alternative arrangements will be offered where possible.
Customers hiring skips are responsible for ensuring that skips are used in accordance with agreed terms. Skips must not be overloaded, moved, or used to store prohibited materials.
Customers must ensure safe and suitable placement locations, including obtaining any required permissions where skips are placed on public roads or shared land.
Skips must be accessible for collection at the agreed time. Delays caused by obstruction or restricted access may result in additional charges.
Customers must ensure that only permitted waste types are placed into skips or presented for collection. Hazardous or restricted materials must not be included unless expressly agreed in advance.
Prohibited waste may include, but is not limited to, asbestos, chemicals, paints, oils, gas cylinders, batteries, medical waste, and certain electrical items.
If prohibited waste is identified, we reserve the right to refuse collection or apply additional charges for specialist handling and disposal.
O'neill Skip Hire operates in accordance with UK waste management legislation and holds appropriate waste carrier registration.
All waste collected is transported to licensed transfer stations or disposal facilities. We aim to recycle or recover waste wherever possible and use landfill only where no alternative exists.
Customers remain responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to dispose of the waste presented and for providing accurate information about waste types.
Customers must provide clear, safe, and unobstructed access for delivery and collection vehicles. Any known access restrictions or site hazards must be disclosed at the time of booking.
If site conditions differ from those described or present safety risks, we reserve the right to suspend or refuse service until issues are resolved.
Additional charges may apply where access difficulties significantly increase time or resources required.
Health and safety is a priority for O'neill Skip Hire. Our staff are trained in safe working practices and use appropriate equipment and personal protective equipment.
Customers must ensure that working areas are safe and free from undisclosed hazards. We reserve the right to stop work if unsafe conditions are identified.
O'neill Skip Hire holds public liability insurance appropriate to the services provided. Our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit or business interruption. Liability for damage is limited to damage directly caused by our negligence.
We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, damage resulting from inaccurate information provided by the customer, or damage caused by third parties.
Reasonable care is taken to avoid damage during delivery, placement, and collection of skips. However, customers acknowledge that waste removal activities may involve inherent risks, particularly on uneven or confined surfaces.
Any concerns regarding damage must be reported as soon as reasonably practicable after the service is completed.
O'neill Skip Hire shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform services due to events beyond our reasonable control. These may include severe weather, accidents, vehicle failure, industrial action, or regulatory restrictions.
In such circumstances, services may be delayed or rescheduled without liability.
Personal data provided by customers is processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Data is used solely for legitimate business purposes, including service delivery, administration, and compliance.
